In the morning, it was still raining. Between spurts and splatters, we got everything out of the tent and shook the rain fly dry. Then, Trina went for a hike to get the tent, since it had blown away.
Another chance for a dry mountain bike ride had dripped away. Instead, we put on our raincoats and stopped at the Boyce-Thompson Arboretum. They allowed us to bring our little dogs, which was great. We spend the morning wandering the trails through the desert gardens in the drizzly rain.
All kinds of crazy cactus and other succulents from the local Sonoran Desert and from deserts around the world. Alien shapes and wierd configurations. Colors enhanced by the moisture. Too early in the season for cactus blossoms, but the ground was greening and a few flowers were blooming.
We had such a good morning walking around that we ate our lunch and then walked around some more.
